ISO 17024 Personnel Certification Process

Organisations wishing to conduct examinations and certification based on national qualifications must obtain authorisation from MYK. Certification bodies meeting the authorisation conditions specified in Article 6 of the Vocational Qualifications Authority Regulation on Examination, Measurement, Assessment and Certification, published in Official Gazette No. 29503 dated 15.10.2015, submit to MYK a preliminary application for authorisation.

Following MYK's review and assessment, a Preliminary Authorisation Agreement is signed with organisations whose preliminary applications are accepted.

Preparation for authorisation of personnel certification bodies examines national qualifications, activity scope and the relevant authority’s application rules together. AKREKAL training is based on ISO/IEC 17024:2026; transition conditions for existing accreditations are assessed against the relevant body’s current arrangements.

Organisations completing accreditation apply to MYK for authorisation. Following MYK's review, audit and assessment processes, an Authorisation Agreement is signed with organisations whose applications are accepted.

Authorised certification bodies, in accordance with MYK legislation and national qualifications, conduct examination and certification activities.

ISO 17024 Personnel Certification Standard Training

Introduction

This training explains how personnel certification bodies seeking accreditation can operate in accordance with TS EN ISO/IEC 17024, and TÜRKAK's policies and principles for accrediting personnel certification bodies.

Organisations seeking or planning to seek TÜRKAK accreditation against TS EN ISO/IEC 17024 are encouraged to attend our training programme.

The training objective:

This training explains the requirements that TS EN ISO/IEC 17024 places on personnel certification bodies. In particular, it covers:

This Regulation, within the framework of national qualifications, governs the Vocational Qualifications Authority's

(MYK) review and assessment of certification body applications; auditing, authorising and monitoring bodies; and procedures and principles for examinations, measurement, assessment and MYK Vocational Qualification Certificates.

The purpose of this training is to establish and maintain certification systems correctly and effectively within MYK legislation and guidance.

This training brings together and explains the criteria that certification bodies authorised by the Vocational Qualifications Authority and bodies applying for authorisation must meet under MYK legislation and other relevant regulatory documents, making them available to interested parties.

Prerequisite
